Ground preparations undertaken in advance of tree planting at Barmolloch, carried out by staff from Scottish Woodlands Ltd, has identified what appears to be two groups of cup-markings. The two groupings are around 20m apart, and are located within 100m of another scheduled rock-art exposure, suggesting that the recently-uncovered examples could form part of a wider complex. As the markings were exposed by forestry operations, it will ultimately be for the Forestry Commission to decide whether further work would be required, but as a first stage, a buffer has been established around the markings; this ground will be left unplanted.
