Two fragments of possibly 19th century inscribed gravestones have been identified built into the stone boundary wall on the east side of the road c. 50m south of Ballochmartin Farmhouse steading. Just past a small red-painted shed there is a gap in the wall, and the inscribed stones can be seen to the south of this gap, facing towards the road. The smaller fragment (c. 50cm) clearly bears the letters 'wa' and portions of others, while the larger stone (c. 80 cm) bears longer words, quite worn but the word 'AGED' still clearly visible.
