A possible long cairn lies at a fencing T-junction close to the track to High Park farm, ENE of Lower Ranachan. It may be Neolithic because its location exhibits a 'disappearing hills' effect; as you walk downslope alongside the structure, the hills disappear in a way that is exactly equivalent to the effect at the long cairn at Carloway, which is set at the limit of visisbility of the 'sleeping beauty' mountain on Lewis.
