About 50 metres to the north of the Finland Burn, at Red Brae, close to the site of a small waterfall, the remains of an enclosure are visible on aerial photographs. Traces of a rectangular enclosure are clearly visible, outlined by a shallow ditch (full of tall grass) on the east, north and west, and by a low indistinct ridge to the south. The enclosure has its long axis oriented SSW-NNE, and it measures about 25 metres by 15 metres, being slightly wider at the northern end. Its interior is grassy and relatively heather-free, compared to the surrounding moor. The entrance of the enclosure appears to have been at the northern end of its western side.
No OS maps, regardless of date, show enclosures or any other structure at this location. Modern vehicle tracks (presumably quad-bike tracks of farmer; a sheep-feed tub was visible nearby) are apparent about 100 metres to the south-west, and elsewhere nearby, but the area of the enclosure itself was, at the time of the visit, unaffected.
