About 300 yards (30.48m) S of the W part of Loch Humphrey, on a plateau on top of the hill and to the SW of three small outcrops in line are three proably man-made hollows, c. 10cm in diameter and 2cm deep. They could possibly be mortars. There are also six holes. These could be natural or could have possibly been made in order to split the rock.
Information from R W B Morris, Manuscript, 31 January 1971.
Hollows in a bedrock outcrop, possibly natural, were reported at this location in 1971. Though there are several prominent bedrock outcrops at this location they are largely overgrown with moss and heather, and no sign of cup markings was visible.
