A recumbent slab, probably a fallen standing stone, lies 29'6" W of the chambered cairn at NS 458 807 (NS48SE 7). It is 8'5" long by 2'1" across the S end, tapering to a pointed N end.

This stone could not be located. It was destroyed when the area was quarried.

NS 458 807 A probable fallen standing stone noted by Miss Henshall 9m to the W of the chambered cairn at Shiels of Gartlea (NS48SE 7) has recently been destroyed by quarrying during the construction of a forestry road. The stone was 2.5m long and 0.6m wide at the S end, tapering to a point at the N end.
